2004 guest comments

2004 was our first year back in New Mexico, and here is what they had to say! And we thank all of you who had the courage to come for this our first year, and also we thank you for all the hard work you did - some of you worked so hard at either building fence or tearing down old fences - you were of great help to us. We still have a lot of work to do on this ol' ranch, and we enjoy every bit of it! Thank you for coming, and we hope to see you again!

	Joyce & Cindy, Oregon (our first guests on the New Mexico ranch!): I survived cowgirl boot-camp, July 2004! A lifelong dream fulfilled! What an adventure! Great people, great horses, great food - a lot of fun and a lot of sweat! Enjoyed it tremendously.
	Franz, Alena, Charly, Germany Thank you so much for a wonderful time on your new ranch. We have enjoyed every second. We are sad that it's our last day. We love to come back!
	Lou and Joe, Virginia A great week! Loved the country, the horses, the work! Good food and good conversations at the end of the day brings it all together - Had a great time. Yet another wonderful season has passed. We again had the privilege of making so many new friends, and were glad to see some familiar faces from the previous years. Life is good, and we appreciate every day, and the life we live. We realize that life on a ranch is something unique and unusual to most people, and we are happy to share it with you. Hasta la vista!

Lee, Ohio: Thanks for the "hot" food, the discussions on ranching, the opportunity for a flat-land farmer to play cowboy and all the other great things we did. PS. Did you ever decide if I was Larry, Curly or Mo?

Susan and Andy, Germany: Sharing your ranch, your horses and your wide open spaces with us made us a great honeymoon! I've never seen another ranch where they took such good care of their horses like you do. You made our dream of the West come true! We will miss you, but see you again! Thank you.

Bjorne, Denmark: Thank you for some wonderful days on your beautiful ranch. The days have past so fast. It has been some memorable days on a lovely horse. I will see you folks in New Mexico.

Gale and Shirley, Pennsylvania: Had a Super time! JX Ranch = Just Xtraordinary Ranch! HORSES - each of us had the pleasure to ride two. SCENERY - many great Kodak moments, CATTLE - we loved moving them!! FOOD - great buffalo yum yum! WEATHER - no rain - hot hot! HOSTS - you two are the best hosts a guest could have! DOGS - Brucie can rub her ... on me nay time, Flick is a charmer, ROPING LESSONS - not very good but we tried! FENCE REPAIR & BUILDING - How many taps of a fence-plier until you're certified? CHERRY PIE - It was good, I'll pick cherries any time. See you in New Mexico!

Jean-Philippe, Valerie, children Alex, Thomas and Jessica, Florida (see also 2002): Great everything once again! Looking forward to coming back for a third time... in New Mexico!

Julie and Jennifer, Washington and Florida: Had an awesome time! The rodeo, herding the cattle, rounding up the bulls, evening walks after dinner to see the sunsets,... I really enjoyed the experience. Thanks Tom and Mimi!

AmyJo and Kitty, Wisconsin: Thank you so much for a great visit! The land is beautiful, the cabin comfortable, the food delicious, and the hospitality the best! You are wonderful hosts. Particularly appreciate your patience with the clumsy greenhorns and your willingness to answer endless questions. I will cherish the memories and I hope to visit again. God bless and good luck.

Ralph, Nebraska: I enjoyed every bit of the time spent here. This is my kind of country. Keep up the good work. We need more people that care abut the land.

Tammy and Steve, California: We've spent a lot of time in Nebraska over the years but didn't know what we were missing. Your ranch surpassed our expectations. Loved our time on horseback. Thanks for getting us all in the saddle. This was a great place to spend time with Steve's dad Ralph (above).

Bob and Iris, North Carolina (see also 2002): Hat off to our host and hostess. What a great week we had. Bob back for his second time loved the saddle time and great company. My first visit, a walker, enjoyed all the sites, the friendly community of Crawford and Chadron. Won a $ at the Casino, enjoyed the buffalo and the friends we made. Looking forward to our next visit.

Jennifer, Arkansas: I can't thank you enough for the great time I had at your ranch. The hospitality and sights were out of this world. I hope things will permit me to do it again next year.

Smokey and Emil, Wisconsin: We had a wonderful time at your ranch. Absolutely enjoyed the scenery, the riding, moving the cows, hauling wood, stacking hay, making chaps, side trip to the black hills, going to the powwow, listening to the coyotes, seeing all the wildlife up close and just sitting on the porch with a beer looking at the stars. Mostly we enjoyed your and Tom's company on the trail and at dinner time when we traded jokes and tall stories. The advise you and Tom gave us on training our horses was invaluable. Smokey and I will keep in touch with you guys and look forward to doing this again.
