or... how to get here from over yonder...

The JX Ranch is located 20 miles south of the town of Tucumcari in eastern New Mexico.

Directions to the ranch (don't rely on your GPS - we don't show up!):

On Interstate 40, at Tucumcari, you take exit 332 and go south approx. 20 miles on Highway 209 towards Ragland and Clovis. Across from mile marker 62 is a beige mailbox marked JX RANCH. That is the entrance to the ranch. Turn right there, and follow that road up to the Headquarters, approx. 2.5 miles. Leave all gates as you find them; open - leave open, closed - close them.

The closest airports are Albuquerque, New Mexico (200 miles), and Amarillo (140 miles) or Lubbock (160 miles), Texas. There is a one hour time difference between Texas and New Mexico - Texas is one hour ahead of us. We recommend renting a car which will give you the freedom to take a drive in the afternoons if you wish, to one of the lakes, or to do some Western shopping, visit Billy The Kid Museum and Bosque Redondo Memorial, etc.
